Matt Damon may have been the poker stud in ‘Rounders,’ but his friend and ‘Good Will Hunting’ writing partner Ben Affleck is one in real life. Winning $356,400 at a poker tournament this month has, aside from supplying him with extra spending money, also earned him a much coveted seat in next year’s World Poker Tour!
The 31-year-old actor climbed through a Judi Online field of some 90 players, including long-time poker veteran Stan Goldstein (who finished second), before going on to capture the Commerce Casino’s California State Poker Championship in an exciting showdown.
Affleck also knocked out Chuck Pacheco, president and co-founder of Castle Rock Entertainment, who finished third, while fellow actor Tobey Maguire went out on the first day of the three-day tournament that ended Sunday.
It’s no secret that Affleck’s name and Judi Online Poker have become synonymous over recent months. Many smaller wins against comparable quality competition have helped to quieten a few early sneers, leading to speculation that Affleck is eyeing up a potentially lucrative second career.
